Please desist from talking about football if you feel the need to use the term back line.

Re: Copa America 2016
Score line flattered Argentina a little. Missed pen and other good opportunities. Fully deserved win but could have been much closer. I'll be interested till see how jurgen approaches them. If we lose by less than 3 it will be a decent result.

US back line has been better than most in the tournament.a bit like the skinniest kid at fat camp though

They beat Panama 5-0 so they must be really good.

They're gonna piss it Mike.

Taken every single big player with other big nations leaving some out because of the Olympics.

And basically other than Chile, Columbia and the state's, the others aren't great.

Right enjoy watching the US, jurgen has them playing some excellent attacking football.

Re: Copa America 2016
Everyone has a chance in that group cholo, as Brazil etc are so average at the moment it's not like it used to be.

No chumps anymore and equally no superb teams.

Weird period in world football with some club teams appearing mustard, while not a single national team stands out as looking that great.

Re: Copa America 2016
A shame Peru went out, can anyone confirm whether they might actually have a half decent team capable of making the next world cup or does a llama have more chance odd winning the grand national?

Colombia win on pens...5-3...

Great game to watch...tough skillful fast midfield dominated battle...

If only England had as much energy

...skill...toughness

I'm listening to the Spanish commentary. No idea what they are saying but it's far better than the US version.

The sub plot to this game is that the tie break is the amount of injuries you can feign within the 90 minutes.

Re: Copa America 2016
Sorry Tex, but I think you must be the only West Ham fan who thinks Enner can play up front on his own. He doesn't have either the physical ability to cope with PL centre backs up his arse,or the aerial threat up there a la Carroll. He only ever looked the part when he and Sakho combined down the channels together, which is unlikely to be tried by Bilic in the future, with both of them likely on their bikes to pastures new.

EV had about 3 relatively straight forward headers that AC would have buried. That was a typical Valencia performance......great positions, no goals, horror misses.

He cost Ecuador a place in the semi......still, at least we get to see the US get mauled by the Argies.

Overall, the football last night was awful.
